TIME Magazine by William Burroughs & Brion Gysin

£2,350.00

A mad piece of typically Burroughs-led irreverence, this is a pastiche of TIME magazine concocted by the two co-creators of the cut-up (amoung many other radical innovations). Full of errors in spite of the colophon’s proclamation that it ‘contains no typographical errors’. TIME had written a poor review of Burroughs’ ‘The Naked Lunch’, and had erroneously claimed that the writer had cut of his finger in order to avoid being drafted into the US army. Contains several pages of Brion Gysin’s iconic calligraphic works, as well as numerous type-set reels of Burroughs’ prose. This copy is in exceptionally Fine condition, is signed by both Burroughs and Gysin, and is number 28 from the edition of 100 which were signed and numbered (the full run was 1000).
